Overall Project Status update – June 2002

May was a significant month for the Bayu-Undan Gas Recycle Project with several key milestones being achieved.

1.  On May 12, the CPP jackets departed from Jay Ray McDermott’s yard in Batam Indonesia for Bayu-Undan field.
2.  On May 14, the installation of the Wellhead Platform was completed offshore.
3.  On May 17, development drilling commenced
4.  On May 19, the first section of the FSO was floated in the dry dock to its final position.
5.  On May 23, the final section of the CUQ main deck was lifted in place in Ulsan.
6.  On May 26, infield pipeline installation was complete.
7.  On May 25, the CPP jackets arrived at the Bayu-Undan field.

These milestones are all key steps to progressing the Gas Recycle production towards commercial production in 1Q 2004.

June will see the continuation of the offshore installation program with the installation of the CPP jackets. Work will continue to progress on the FSO at Samsung Heavy Industry’s yard in Koje, Korea towards the milestone of ready for launch of the FSO on July 28. A significant focus area remains the deck fabrication in Hyundai Heavy Industry’s yard in Ulsan, Korea.
